No-Bake Cookies

Start timing when mixture reaches a full rolling boil; this is the trick to successful cookies. If you boil too long the cookies will be dry and crumbly. If you don’t boil long enough, the cookies won’t form properly.

Combine in a medium saucepan:
420 ml sugar
125 ml milk
125 ml butter
60 ml cocoa
1 ml salt

Bring to a boil and cook for 90 seconds.  Remove from heat and stir in:
125 ml crunchy peanut butter
700 ml quick-cooking oats
5 ml vanilla extract

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.  Let cool until hardened.  (Keep Dad away from them…)
