One of Lars’ favorite cooking memories is of cooking with Aitziber’s dad when he came over at the end of her year with us. He was a wizard with tortilla, although we were both struggling to make ourselves understood. Lars’ Spanish was pretty well limited to huevos, and Aitziber’s Dad’s English was little better. Aitziber found herself acting as a living dictionary for both of us, and the dinner turned out wonderfully.
