Blend together, adjusting to taste:
225 ml peanut butter (can be made by grinding peanuts in food processor until creamy.)
150 ml hoisin sauce
75 ml sugar
125 ml water
NOTE: all amounts are approximated. You will have to observe and taste the sauce. If it is too salty, add more sugar, or more peanut butter. Add water until it is consistency of a light batter – thick enough to stick to your roll, but thin enough to not overpower the roll.
