Candied Yams

Peel and slice into 1 cm thick slices:
2 large yams

Arrange in a baking dish, and then pour over the yams:
1 can pineapple
125 ml raisins

Sprinkle brown sugar on top and cut small chunks of butter and place them on top of mixture.  Cover and bake in 175 degree oven until tender (approximately 40 minutes.)  If desired, when yams are done cooking, cover with marshmallows and cook until they turn golden brown.
